This is funny, and perceptive. It’s very home-made, but that is part of it’s charm.
The punch line, of course, is about joining this particular religious order, but most of the video would apply to anyone who is thinking/wondering/worrying about possibly having a religious vocation.
I love the idea that having a great list of reasons why you do not have a religious vocation is a good argument for why you do have one. I know this sounds perverse, some kind of Jesuitical trap: ‘You do think you have a vocation? Great – sign here. You don’t think you have a vocation? Ahhh! Then you probably do!!’ But it’s often true! Ordinary people without a vocation to religious life do not wander round obsessing about all the reasons why they are not called to religious life!

Tee Hee. I was feeling utterly miserable today and that made me smile (at myself) Dare I ever admit to scoring so very highly in any quiz. Unheard of.
I always stumble upon the questions they didn’t ask!
I always wonder if one day any of us could be elevated to patron saint status, what would we want it to be of? I would want to be patron saint of Loving friendship, or patron saint of outsiders, and whilst men and women who Love each other aren’t permitted to be closely linked friends, and whilst some people who have a deeper calling are not allowed to be received into the Catholic Church, and whilst women cannot have vocations in their parish along side the priest, my God inspired thoughts rather makes light of it all. Peter was chosen and he was married, and the women with their dedicated loyalty Love and faith supported Christ, not just each other in mixed communities.
Oh but then theres the small fact of 5 children.
Perfect little altar servers and disciples!!!!!
Most definitely consecrated for Love x
Thank you for making me smile.
